The Third Ward Community Health Collaborative (TWCHC) is an organization formed of many organizations whose purpose are goals are related to creating better health outcomes for Third Ward residents. We originally formed this collaborative because we found organizations were working in silos and often duplicating efforts. In our new, more collaborative way of doing things, we are using a shared governance and consensus decision-making model called Sociocracy. This way of working together ensures each person is heard and organizations have the opportunity to work together on similar interest and projects.
To improve the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of Third Ward residents.
Unite, strengthen, and activate community organizations to improve the health and wellbeing of Third Ward residents through shared power and collective action.
